From the church's beginning in 1833, religious education for church members and the Bangor community has been a priority at Hammond Street Congregational Church.

Our Adult Church School meets at 9:00 a.m. an hour before worship. 
This year our curriculum is directed by Sarah Pringle-Lewis, our new Associate Pastor, a graduate of Bangor Theological Serminary.

The Children's Sunday School is held DURING worship and gathers together after the Children's Moment in the Sanctuary. There are classes for all ages of young people .


During Sunday morning church services, we offer child care for infants and
pre-schoolers. This service frees parents of young children during worship,
and, at the same time, introduces young children to the concepts of caring
and sharing which are so important to Christian life.


At the other end of the education spectrum, Hammond Street Congregational Church supports the work of the Bangor Theological Seminary through financial contributions and externship opportunities.
